Founded
- Starting of St. Martha’s Institute.
1970
Raised Status
- St. Martha’s Institute is raised to the status of a pious union by Mar Sebastian Vayalil
- Rev. Sr. Mary Emily S.H is appointed as a Superior
1971
First Spiritual Director
- Rev. Fr. John Kadookunnel is appointed as our first spiritual director.

Approval of the Constitution and Statutes
1973
First batch novitiate
- The first batch novitiate has begins
- Rev. Fr. Theophilus CMI and Rev. Sr. Mary Emily S.H are appointed as Novice Master and Novice Mistress respectively
1974
Profession of the first batch.

Rev.Fr. Leopold CMI is appointed as Director.
1977
First missionaries go to Ujjain

First General synaxis

The first General synaxis is held according to the Constitution.
The first superior General and Novice Mistress are elected from St. Martha’s Institute itself.
1979
- Mr. Mathew Joseph Kalapura one of the founders is called for eternal rest
1981
Final profession of the first batch.

Sisters go abroad for different services

The other founder Mar Sebastian Vayalil is called for eternal rest.
1991
New Spiritual Director
- Rev. Dr. Augustine Valummel OCD is appointed as spiritual Director.
1998
Raised as an Eparchial Rite
- Sisters of St. Martha’s Congregation is raised as an Eparchial Rite Congregation.
